This is testified by the awards bestowed on them – a total of 8,846 in the last ten years alone, including 378 trophies (usually the top prize in each category) and 1,462 gold medals. Furthermore, in their role as environmental stewards, Accolade seek to address climate risk & opportunity, optimise operational waste, and conserve water systems.
Accolade Wines UK and Lexia Analytics
Lexia and Accolade have been working together on multiple data analytics projects in their UK business since 2020, ranging from promotional effectiveness to volume forecasting. Accolade were receiving market wide sales data each month, including competitors, for the top retailers in the UK. These datasets were very large and coded in a way that did not enable linking to internal data sources. Lexia were able to build a ‘monthly profitability cube’ for the UK major retail market, linking all data sources together and providing a rich and flexible platform for analytics. Furthermore, Lexia also includes a product level weekly volume forecast for selected accounts, based on their promotional activity.
Transaction Level Profitability
- Strategic cost allocation enables profitability to be calculated for every individual transaction. The database design enables this output to be analysed from all angles – customer, product, brand, region, contract, salesperson etc.
- The UK tool also incorporates all competitor sales data from the same time period, meaning that users can easily visualise competitor trends and spot opportunities, threats, outliers and targets as early as possible.
- A sophisticated product and retailer specific forecasting model has been built with >95% accuracy. This enables Accolade to quantify and optimise future promo plan negotiations.
A central suite for all analysis
- The tool is completely interactive and easy to interrogate. It also, therefore, acts as an easy-to-use central suite for any analysis that may be required without the need for data requests, permissions or transfers.
